How to facilitate successful learning and overcome challenges related to Unsuccessful learning. The thrust and emphasis was on Active Learning – which includes Wanting, Doing, Applying and Practicing. As part of the experiential learning process for the student community – Dr. Basu shared details of the academic practices adopted at Centre for Entrepreneurship – San Jose State University which comprised Innovative Project involvement, Flipped classroom learning, Participation in events followed by presentation concerning observations and learning’s. Specifically she highlighted some of the initiatives taken at Silicon Centre for Entrepreneurship which included innovation challenge, Business Plan Competitions, Internships with startup ventures, and eminent speaker series.

She concluded by stating that learning is more complete and relevant when the programs are enriching, rich pool of faculty members are involved, Strong linkages with industry is established, sound international connections are created and students are encouraged to undertake shadow projects.

It was heartening to note that NDIM teaching pedagogy is no way inferior to the international best practices adopted globally and San Jose University and NDIM could collaborate for designing a contemporary course on entrepreneurship and introduce systems and processes and incubation centre’s for promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among the talented young management graduates.
